      University of Minnesota, Morris (UMM)

      • The University of Minnesota, Morris was established in 1960 by the board of Regents to provide an educational opportunity for students throughout the state who sought a University of Minnesota undergraduate liberal arts education in a small college setting.     We encourage everyone to visit the many parks in Morris, as they offer a wide variety of recreational activities including horseshoes, ice skating, tennis, volleyball, baseball, and basketball. The parks also feature grills, shelters, and playground equipment.

    • Pomme de Terre Park -offers camping facilities on the Pomme de Terre River. Located just east of Morris on City Rd. 10. This park also offers a Frisbee Golf Course and Water Spray Park. Check these fun activities out.
    • Wells Park - has a skate park and ballfield. Located on Pacific Avenue.
    • Green River Park - has a soccer field, tennis courts, and ballfield. Located on Green River Road.
    • East Side Park - has lighted horseshoe pits, basketball court, and performing arts center. Located on East 7th Street.
    • The Eagles Ball Park - has softball and baseball fields. Located on East 7th Street.
    • Kjenstad Park - is ideal for nature watching. Located along the shores of Lake Crystal.
    • Thedin Park - is a small neiborhood park. Located on corner of Lyndale and West 6th St.
    • Riverside Park - is a newly developed neighborhood park. Located in the Riverside Addition.
