Manage your diabetes with exercise! Attend a free workshop at the Regional Fitness Center on Monday, June 30, from 8-11:00 a.m. The workshop includes a water aerobics class, Yoga Stretch class, and Sue Dudding speaking on “Know your healthy steps.” In addition, a representative from Bayer Health Care Diabetes Care Division will be available. Skyview Plaza is offering a free blood pressure clinic from 2-4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 30. Everyone is welcome to attend. For more information call 589-4582.
The Prairie Pioneer Days Committee is looking for volunteers to help at the Information Booth in the park during PPD, July 12 and 13. Duties include selling game tickets and PPD buttons, in addition to providing information such as the schedule of events to visitors. The Kruisen Knights Kar Klub invites anyone with an appreciation for vehicles to attend their weekly Thursday evening rides. Simply show up at Mike’s Express Lube at 6:00 and enjoy visiting a different destination each week. For more information, contact David Minners at 589-2787.
UMM and MASD students worked together on a survey this past year, which will be sent to all City of Morris residents. During the month of July, you will receive this survey in the mail about roadblocks to environmentally friendly household environmental habits. The survey appears to be lengthy but will take no more than 10 minutes to complete. The information will be very useful to the City of Morris. The data will be shared widely with area agencies and community members and will be useful in future decisions related to the environment. Please complete it and either mail it back or return it to one of the drop-off spots noted in the accompanying letter. Thank you!
Cookie Night will be held at the Morris Public Library on Tuesday, July 1, at 6:00p.m. Enter the Chocolate Chip Cookie Baking Contest, decorate a cookie, and enjoy stories and more. No cost or pre-registration. Call 589-1634 for more information.
