- On Thursday, July 22 at 6 p.m. “Bruce the Bug Guy” will be presenting an ENTO-taining and hands on program at the Morris Public Library. This event is sponsored by the Viking Library System with funding provided by the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008 which dedicated funding to preserve Minnesota’s arts and cultural heritage. Prior to the program free hot dogs provided by Willies and free drinks sponsored by McDonalds will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m. For further information contact the library at 589-1634.
- The 5th Annual LTD Motorcycle Memorial Tour will be held on Saturday, July 24. The ride begins in Montevideo with registration at 8 a.m. and will make a stop in Morris around 3 p.m.
- Life on the Land-Summer Bus Tour sponsored by the Stevens County Historical Museum. Register by August 2, to be in on the all-day bus tour through Stevens County on Saturday, August 21st. Get an up-close and personal look at some of our county’s agricultural enterprises reflected in the “Reaping What We Sow” exhibit. Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided. Walking shoes needed and your cost of $12, is offset by New Horizons Elevator, Town & Country Supply, John Deere/Amundson Peterson, Inc., Benn Family Fund. Contact the museum at 320-589-1719 to sign up today, only 50 seats available.
