Membership Spotlight: Executive Sanitation
When people think about portable toilets, the thought of “luxury” doesn’t usually come to mind first. But that’s exactly what Executive Sanitation Inc. provides not only with their impeccable customer service, but with their luxury portable toilets too. “Customer service is key,” says Chase Johnson, Owner of Executive Sanitation. “There is nothing worse than a dirty toilet. Every time we service a toilet, they are scrubbed down, disinfected and have fragrance put in them. They look brand new when they are done.” Another thing that sets their portable toilets apart from others is their solar powered, motion activated LED lighting at no extra charge in each and every one of the units. “I strive to make all of my customers happy and I enjoy meeting people from all over,” Chase adds.
Chase is not new to the sewer industry. He started out working with his dad and uncle at a young age and has been in the wastewater industry for almost 20 years. He has also owned Johnson Jet Line for over ten year, a business that provides sewer cleaning and televising for cities all over the Midwest area. Chase said he had many communities on maintenance programs where he cleans the sewer mains each year and some of his customers asked if he had ever considered getting into the portable toilet industry. He did research for a few years by attending the Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport Show (WWETT) in Indianapolis and made connections with others in the portable toilet industry. What came out of all that research was Executive Sanitation Inc.
Chase was proud to service the toilets at the Grant County Fair in 2016 and even had his luxury restroom available for VIP during the Blackhawk concert. “Many of the band members had never seen a portable restroom that fancy and were taking selfies in the bathroom and tagging my business on Facebook,” says Chase. That notoriety helped Chase who says his biggest challenge with starting the business is just getting his name out there. “It takes a lot more advertising to get started and become visible. Many people have not heard of the business yet,” says Chase. “I also hope to keep finding employees who are committed and to expand the business and create jobs for people around the area.” Currently Chase has two employees, 100 portable toilets, ten hand-washing stations, and one luxury toilet. He would also like to add septic pumping to his list of services in 2017.
What is so cool about a luxury restroom? It has air conditioning, heat, running water, a radio, and Bluetooth. Customers can even rent them out while they have a home being remodeled and need a toilet in the mean time. Or, they can serve at large outdoor events and venues for band members and a VIP experience, or even for weddings. Chase hopes to add at least one more luxury toilet this year as well.
